What is the engine for the Jeep Gladiator?

All trims of the 2020 Gladiator come with a five-foot bed, four-wheel-drive, and a 3.6-liter V6 engine that pumps out 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. The engine comes connected to a smooth sailing six-speed manual transmission, but you do get the option of an eight-speed automatic if you prefer. Additionally, the Gladiator comes with a ton of towing power as it can haul up to 7,650 pounds when fully equipped. The payload capacity for the Gladiator is also impressive at 1,600 pounds.

What are notable features on the 2020 Gladiator?

Four trim levels are available for the 2020 Gladiator, and there are a bunch of features here that are sure to make all other truck models jealous. Starting things off is the Sport trim, which comes with 17-inch steel wheels, all-season tires, a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, cruise control, an eight-speaker audio system, a 5-inch central display, a rearview camera, Bluetooth, and voice control capability. All versions of the Gladiator also have the option of a convertible folding soft top, removable doors, and a fold-down front windshield. The Class II bumper hitch provides you with a 4,500-pound towing capacity. More creature comforts can be had with the Sport S trim as it comes with alloy wheels, power windows, power door and tailgate locks, heated power mirrors, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. Both the Sport and the Sport S open themselves to a few option packages to increase power and towing capacity. Available is a Trailer Tow package and a Max Tow package. The Sport S has a few more option packages, including a Technology package with a 7-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Another fantastic option package is the Cargo Group package with a rail-based cargo management system and a 115-volt power outlet in the bed. Next up is the Overland, which adds more style features in the form of 18-inch alloy wheels, body-color wheel arches, side steps, and tinted rear side and rear windows. You also get automatic headlights, LED ambient footwell lighting, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. Last up is the off-road-ready Rubicon, which comes with a transfer case with a lower crawl ratio for better climbing and crawling, larger 33-inch tires, and fenders with increased clearance. Also standard are locking front and rear differentials, an electronically disconnectable front stabilizer bar, and Fox shock absorbers.

What are some of the safety features?

Underneath its rough and tumble exterior, the all-new Jeep Gladiator comes with a bunch of safety systems that are designed to keep you safe and secure on the open road. Available is a Blind-Spot Monitoring System, which uses sensors to detect other vehicles that are traveling in your blind spot zones. When another car is detected, you will be alerted with visual and audible warnings. Also available is an Adaptive Cruise Control System with Full Stop that automatically adjusts your driving speed so that you maintain a pre-selected distance between you and the traffic ahead. It can even bring your vehicle to a complete stop if needed. Finally, the Gladiator offers you a Full-Speed Forward Collision Warning System with Active Braking, which alerts you to a potential frontal impact. If the risk continues, the breaks will automatically be engaged.
